February 28, 2006: Public Citizen Petitions FDA to Ban Darvon Products

Public Citizen which is a national non-profit consumer advocacy organization, asked the US Food and Drug Administration to start withdrawing the Darvon or Darvocet products from the market immediately. Public Citizen claims that the drug was linked with more than 2,000 accidental deaths, physically addictive, and is not effective than safer alternatives.
