September 3, 2003: Consumer Group Petitions FDA on Meridia Deaths

Public Citizen, a nonprofit organization, tendered a petition to the US Food and Drug Administration, reinforcing its position that Meridia should be prohibited from the market, and updating the list to 49, the number of cardiovascular deaths among the patients who used Meridia.
